AQUABOND
Aquabond is a blend of hygroscopic and humectant compounds, able to
attract and hold free water molecules from the air within the soil matrix and efficiently
transfer them into the roots of your turf. This simple process eliminates localized dry
spots, increases watering efficiency, delays wilt, and conserves water. It also results in
overall healthier turf by promoting healthy, vigorous, drought resistant turf.
Benefits
Reduces Irrigation - AQUABOND can reduce watering cycles by as
much as 20%. If used in conjunction with water retention polymers, the water savings can
be as much as 50%. By reducing over-watering, AQUABOND lowers the moisture levels
in the thatch layer and minimizes the conditions that cause fungus, algae, and disease.
Encourages Root Growth - By eliminating or reducing moisture
stress, plants will be healthier. Injection by the SGI system, combined with the water
holding capacity of AQUABOND, will result in longer, more disease resistant roots.
AQUABOND also assists in the prevention of root injury from high soluble soil salts.
Minimizes LDS - AQUABOND helps minimize localized dry spot (LDS)
by coating hydrophobic soil particles, restoring the natural capillary action of the water
within the soil matrix. This increases the lateral movement of water in the root zone,
bringing plant available water to the root zone.
Environmentally Friendly - AQUABOND is organic and fully
biodegradable. It contains no phosphates, petrochemical derivatives or other toxic
fractions which may cause ground water or runoff contamination.
Safe On All Turf - AQUABOND has passed rigorous phototoxicity
trials and will not bum or harm turf in any way.
Application
AQUABOND is a concentrated formula developed tor economical, large scale
application. It is only beneficial within the root zone and therefore is ideally applied
with the Subsurface Granular Injection unit. Re-apply every three months, or as needed.
Dilute 1 gallon of AQUABOND in the 220 gallon tank of the SGI unit to treat approximately
20,000 square feet.
